I've been having some strange visual disturbances with lows in the month or so. In the center field of vision in both eyes I see a misshapen circle with jagged edges. The edges seem to glow red and blue and seems to flicker, especially after blinking. It's quite pretty actually. It looks pretty much the same every time it happens. My vision also goes blurry and kind of dim; like when you need to adjust the brightness on your device. I've been T1 for 14 years and this is quite new. Has anyone else experienced anything similar to this? Edit: for those with the question who stumble upon this in the future... I went to the ophthalmologist who diagnosed me with ocular migraines with scintillating scotoma. Nothing to worry about, but annoying (and quite pretty, actually). There is nothing you can really do to prevent these episodes other than avoid triggers. Triggers for ocular migraines often include but are not limited to: rapid blood sugar fluctuations caffeine alcohol (especially red wine) aged cheese nitrites in hot dogs, luncheon meat, etc.
